Peter R. Taylor brings over 25 years of multi-channel experience to enterprise email marketing service provider
SAN DIEGO – Sept. 3, 2013 – BlueHornet Networks, Inc., the email marketing solution from Digital River, Inc., announced the appointment of Peter R. Taylor as vice president of client services. In addition to working with BlueHornet clients’ marketing leadership to help them drive strategic business goals through their email marketing programs, Peter will continue to build out the senior management organization across BlueHornet’s account management, deliverability and professional service teams.
“Peter brings more than 25 years of multi-channel business development, marketing and retail merchandising experience to BlueHornet,” said Gerry Widmer, general manager of BlueHornet. “His approach to take a holistic look at how email plays into commerce platform selection, search, affiliate and social media marketing can uncover many opportunities for sustained growth.”
Prior to joining BlueHornet, Taylor served as director of business development and e-commerce at Sport Chalet, a California-based chain of 54 specialty sporting goods stores. Before that, he served as general manager of Road Runner Sports, the largest multi-channel seller of running shoes and apparel in the U.S., where he was responsible for company marketing and merchandising across all channels, including customer contact strategies and acquisition investments in print and web communication. During his tenure at Road Runner, Taylor completed the re-branding of the company, re-built the company web sites, launched a new private label apparel line, developed a new marketing database, and redefined and implemented cross-channel marketing strategies.
