Red Lobster wanted to develop a system that
would allow their customers to share recipes with others
through their web page and via email. They were also
interested in a viral marketing feature that would enable
customers to plan a party at the Red Lobster location
of their choice and invite their friends via email.
BlueHornet designed
a custom "Share-a-Recipe" system for Red Lobster
that has enabled Red Lobster's customers to share recipes
with others through the Red Lobster website and via
email. BlueHornet designed the new "Invite"
feature to enable customers to plan a party at the Red
Lobster restaurant of their choice and invite their
friends by sending them a colorful, personalized HTML
invitation.
Through the combined efforts
of Red Lobster's off-line marketing strategies and BlueHornet's
online solutions, the Red Lobster opt-in database list
has grown over 50% in under 6 months. Red Lobster's
viral marketing success is currently propelled by the
use of the BlueHornet "Invite" feature. The
increase of Red Lobster's loyal customer database and
